Noelle Lelakus
Noelle Lelakus is originally from North Canton, Ohio, and received her ballet training under Cassandra Crowley at Canton Ballet, where she performed in a number of classical roles and contemporary works. During the summers, Noelle studied at American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet School, BalletMet, The University of Akron, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. After high school, she earned her B.A. in dance summa cum laude at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, under the direction of Tauna Hunter. During college she also had the opportunity to perform professionally with SoMar Dance Works and Ballet Concerto. In 2008, Noelle joined Missouri Contemporary Ballet, where she remained for two years as a company member. Noelle has taught for Kristin’s Dance Company, Mercyhurst College, Dance Studio of Columbia, and Presser Performing Arts Center, and has served on residential staff for summer programs of American Ballet Theatre and Boston ballet. Currently, Noelle is pursuing her RN at Mercyhurst North East and is absolutely thrilled to join the EDC faculty for 2011-2012.
