Michaela Boscaljon began dancing at age two in Michigan. At age nine, she began to study ballet in Erie, Pennsylvania. She trained at Erie Dance Conservatory under the instruction of Sarah Purvis dancing many leading roles such as “Clara” in The Nutcracker, “The Fairy Godmother” in Cinderella, “The Snow Queen” in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and “Aurora” in The Sleeping Beauty. She has taken numerous master classes through EDC, at Regional Dance America, as well as summer intensives. She began attending summer intensives at the age of fourteen including American Ballet Theatre in New York City, Saratoga Summer Dance Intensive, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and Ballet Magnificat. After graduating from high school a year early, she danced in Mississippi as a trainee with Ballet Magnificat. She danced as the lead female role in their spring production, “Merchant and the Thief.” Eventually, Michaela was promoted to Ballet Magnificats Events Company and began touring nationally and also internationally. She has enjoyed teaching this past year at Erie Dance Conservatory and looks forward to teaching her second year while attending Penn State Behrend.
