Dancer Showcase
Many of EDCC Dancers have auditioned and been accepted to very
prominent program. Congratulations to these dancers on your
wonderful achievements and for representing EDCC to its finest!
- Madison Wieczorek, 14, was awarded the Josephine Schwartz Award at RDA/NE in the amount of $1,650. She traveled to North Carolina School of the Arts on July 16th for the two week summer intensive.
- Charlotte Twitchell, 18, was awarded the Jonathan Phelps Scholarship in the amount of $500. She is currently attending Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.
- Dancers accepted into other summer dance programs include: Erin Anglikowski, 13, Central PA Youth Ballet; Emma Bierbaum, 16, Michaela Boscaljon, 15, and Karly Rivera, 15, American Ballet Theatre, and Tara DeSanto, 14, Chautauqua Ballet Theatre.
- Erin Anglikowski, 13, attended Central PA Youth Ballet’s 2011 summer intensive.
- Emma Bierbaum, 16, and Michaela Boscaljon, 15, auditioned and attended American Ballet Theatre’s New York City 2011 summer program
- Karly Rivera, 15, auditioned and attended American Ballet Theatre’s Detroit 2011 summer program
- Tara DeSanto, 14, auditioned and attended Chautauqua Ballet Theatre’s 2011 summer program.
- Nick Adams, a former student of Sarah Purvis, was featured in the February 2011 magazine of Lake Erie Lifestyle. He credits Sarah Purvis in the article.
- Morgan Anderson, former EDCC dancer and current student at SUNY Purchase, is currently dancing in Australia.
- Rachel Schneider, a former EDCC dancer and student at Point Park University is currently in her sophomore year.
